Captain Steve is a proud, lifelong Floridian who grew up fishing the rich waters of Jupiter for snook, mahi mahi, and sailfish. His passion for the sport eventually led him to Florida’s Gulf Coast, where he specialized in inshore redfishing and offshore bottom fishing.
After honing his expertise over 15 years fishing out of John’s Pass in Madeira Beach, Captain Steve developed a keen skill for light tackle fishing both inshore and offshore. During this time, he and his family frequently visited Homosassa for scalloping and enjoying the clear springs, recognizing it as a unique location with a relatively unpressured offshore fishery.
That passion led Captain Steve and his family to permanently relocate to Homosassa, where he founded Homosassa Offshore Adventures. A dedicated family man and professional guide, Captain Steve is committed to ensuring your safety and sharing the incredible fishing experiences he has enjoyed his entire life.
